Winters Cafe 6x8

Today was the first day of the Winters Plein Air Festival. It was a fantastic day to be out painting. My wife and I ate at this cafe (the food was excellent) and then I painted it. I had to take off after one painting because I had another commitment but I'll be back tomorrow.

This yellow quonset hut is on 33rd or 34th street just off of Stockton blvd.

Palm Avenue 7x7

I used a couple of sketches and a photograph and then painted this at home. I prefer to paint on location but I would have had to be in the middle of the street to do this. This is also the first time I've painted on linen. I bought some pre-primed and mounted it to masonite. I can see why it's so popular!
