Orangevale palm 8x6

This sketch took about an hour. A dog barked at me the whole time.

freeway palm #2 8x10

I did a lot of editing on this one. I took out a bunch of other trees that I felt took away from the sweep of freeway.

I painted another view of this apartment building a while ago. The earlier version was done in the late morning and this one was done at dusk.

bluff near Sunrise Bridge

This is the bluff along the American river just upstream of the old Fair Oaks bridge. I thought the palm tree growing out of it was kind of cool looking.

Palm Avenue 7x7

I used a couple of sketches and a photograph and then painted this at home. I prefer to paint on location but I would have had to be in the middle of the street to do this. This is also the first time I've painted on linen. I bought some pre-primed and mounted it to masonite. I can see why it's so popular!

freeway palm 7x9

The river is right behind me. I painted the tower bridge from underneath this bridge yesterday. I was glad the sun came out today

apartment 7x7

I loaded up my bike with my paint box and went for a ride today. This apartment is about a mile from my house. I liked the light and shadow.

palm #3 4x8

I like painting palms. This one is near my house by a park called Poenix Field. The clouds today were a nice bonus.
