I took a quick trip up to Serene Lakes this morning. There's a some great views up there. A flock of canadien Geese kept me company.

Serene Lakes #2 8x6

One of the things Terry had us do last weekend was paint little thumbnails to plan out composition. I had never done this before. I figured that these little plein aire studies were already so small that they were basically just thumbnails anyway. I was surprised to find out just how much a simple thumbnail helped me organize the painting.
