Phantom Spires 8x6

My son and I went rock climbing at Sugarloaf just above Kyburz. It was a fantastic day. After our climb we headed up the hill to get burgers at the Strawberry Lodge. When we were coming home I saw this back lit view of the Phantom Spires and decided to snap a picture to aid my memory so I could paint it when I got home. There are a lot of great places to paint that also happen to be great places to climb. It's going to be hard to make up my mind this summer!

lembert Dome #2 8x6

I know this seems like the same painting that I did yesterday but this one's a little bigger and It's on linen. I'm gearing up to do a larger piece and I'm trying to work out some color issues with these small ones.

Cathedral Peak 8x10

This is Cathedral Peak. It's all snowed in right now so I did this painting from some photos. I want to spend some time in the Sierras with my paint box this summer. I climbed this a few years ago with a good friend.

Donner Peak 10x8

I went climbing with some friends at Donner Summit today. It was beautiful and very clear with none of the recent smoke in evidence.
