sunflower #4 5x7

A student brought in this nice blue bottle. She has been waiting patiently for me to paint it and I finally found someting nice to put in it. Most of the flowers in our garden are starting to dry up.

small sunflower 5x7

My students are starting to bring me things to paint. I've got a bunch of stuff from the school garden lined up on my table at school waiting. I hope I can get to it all before it wilts or rots!

sunflower #3 5x7

I'm not sure why I've painted sunflowers so infrequently. This time of year they are all over the place. I think part of the reason is that they're so big that I don't have the right sized vases to put them in.

sunflower #2 5.5x7

There are several varieties of sunflower growing on our campus. I had a student go out and pick one for me and he came back with this two toned specimen. It was a bit more callenging than a plain yellow one. Lots of fun to paint though. I'll probably be doing a few of these while they're around.
