Snooks Candies 7"x5.5"

These are hand made candies from Snooks in Folsom CA. These are a few of Renee's favorites. The little designs that are on this kind of candy are a secret code that tells what's inside. These people make really good candy. We always stop by before going to the movies.

deviled egg 5.5"x7"

We went over to my dad's house for leftovers tonight. I did this painting over there. I actually finished it a few hours ago but I had to wait until I got home to post. The egg was the last of many made by aunt Lorene. They were delicious.

Chana High School Art Dept. Benefit Auction

I just posted my 100th painting last night. To help celebrate I'm doing a special charity auction for the Chana Art Department. My students selected these five paintings for auction on eBay. Whatever they end up selling for will be used to purchase much needed supplies for our art program (canvas, paint, brushes, silk screen ink, etc.). To encourage lots of participation the starting price for these five paintings is only one dollar.

So bid often and bid high!

cookie cutter 6"x7"

I found a bunch of old cookie cutters at an antiques shop. I liked the chromed surfaces and wanted to paint one. I chose the spade because it was the edgiest one. I kept thinking of the song "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead.
